Last year, Nextplay launched to build the largest community of professionals of color, accelerate career advancement, create unprecedented access to job opportunities and promote authentic Black & Latino culture in tech.
A year later we've hosted the Vice President of Nigeria, expanded the community to 3000+ members, produced 11 events that yielded double digit hires, and partnered with 17+ top tech companies that include Microsoft, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Airbnb, Pinterest etc.
Join us on Nov 8 to celebrate our one year anniversary. The evening will include networking with Recruiters from LinkedIn & Twitter, lightning talks, dance theme performances, visual art and food/drinks from authentic community vendors.
Mapy launched her career as a solo Hip-Hop, Dancehall & Soca violinist in 2014. She performed at prestigious concert halls such as Le Bataclan in Paris, the Pavillon Baltard and the Pavillon Champs - Elysées.
She’s often called to rock stages around the world in places like Europe, the Caribbean, Guyana, New Caledonia, Morocco etc. She’s been called by Blaise Matuidi to perform at the PSG Event (Paris Soccer team), as well as the Heineken Group, Orange Telecom.
Mapy recently performed with Pharrell Williams on the Ellen Degeneres show. She's excited about this event and she's looking forward to vibing with the Nextplay community!
